Rapid
Application Deployment (RAD)™ Platform

RAD™ offers a flexible yet powerful solution to
companies wishing to connect SMS services to the intercarrier
SMPP network. Using a secure HTTPS API, applications
communicate with RAD™ servers that in turn convert
messages to SMS for delivery to the intercarrier SMPP
network
Receiving Messages
If the client is taking advantage of Unwired Appeal's
cost-effective shared short code service, incoming (Mobile
Originated) messages are keyword-routed to the client's
application or service. Cell phone subscribers simply
preface their SMS messages with the the client's designated
keyword and send the message to the assigned short code.
RAD™ servers process the message and relay via
the HTTPS API to the customer application/service. For
customers who require a dedicated Short Code, RAD™
maps the Short Code directly to the application and
no keyword is required.
Sending Messages
To send reply messages to the cell phone subscriber
the process is similar but in reverse. Mobile Terminated
(outgoing) messages are sent from the client application
to RAD™ servers using the HTTPS API that includes
the message and the destination cell phone number. RAD™
receives the message, converts it to SMS, and delivers
it the cell phone subscriber via the intercarrier network.
